A thing I enjoyed tremendously in 2012 was a project I cooked up to encourage readers to commit to making their bed every day for a month; I feel strongly that coming home to a made bed does wonders for one’s mental health, promotes better sleeping habits and is one of the simplest ways to keep a home looking tidy.
But I know not everyone is always so easily convinced of these things and so I thought if I could just get folks to agree to try it for a month — helped out with some cheerleading from me on Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, etc. etc. etc. — that they might find themselves converted by the end of the 30 days.
And hey, a lot of them were! So that made me feel pretty great!
Along those same lines, I thought it might be fun for us to gather up all our Cleaning Resolutions 2013 and help each other along with them! Tell me what yours are, and I’ll do my very best to offer some suggestions, tips and that much needed cheerleading. You can tweet at me (@joliekerr) with the hashtag #CleaningResolutions2013, email me (firstname.lastname@example.org), or use this site’s ask function to let me know what things you’ve resolved to clean up this year.
Okay gang, good luck out there! I’ll be posting mine on the 1st — let me know if you have things you’d like to see me resolve to do more of in the new year!
